Clonique

Safety and crisis protocol

Clonique is an AI. It does not replace the person it imitates or professional help. This is what the app does to keep a chat safe.

It is always clear it is an AI

When someone mentions suicide or self-harm

Every message is checked before it reaches the model: on the device against a list of phrases in Croatian, English and German, and in parallel by a separate safety model.

When the check sees a serious risk, the clone does not answer and the model is not called. The app shows a fixed text: that this is an AI, and the helpline for your country. A card with helplines opens as well; the chat is not cut off or locked.

The clone’s reply is checked too before you see it: a reply that urges self-harm or holds sexual content is never shown.

No sexual content

Clonique writes no sexual content in any form. Not only an instruction to the model holds this, but the app’s code: such a message gets a fixed answer, and such a reply of the clone is not shown.

Report a reply

If a reply of the clone seems offensive, dangerous or inappropriate, press and hold it (right-click in a browser) and choose Report reply. Only that reply and the reason you pick are sent to us, nothing else of the chat, and we read every report. For anything else, write to support@clonique.ai.

If you are in danger

Call the emergency number or a line from the table. Clonique is not a help service and does not watch chats live.
